Meet Coach Cooney

I believe that high-performance isn’t just about speed, strength or statistics — it begins within. As a Mindset, Performance & Emotional Wellness Coach, I partner with athletes and professionals to unlock the deeper game: the inner world of self-awareness, emotional regulation, belief systems and purposeful action.

In collaboration with MVSC’s “One Kid. One Team. One Dream.” mission, I’m honored to help create environments where young men and women—on the field, in the classroom and in life—can build lifelong tools for confidence, clarity and resilience.

Together with coaches, teams and school staffs we work to:

• Cultivate self-awareness and emotional regulation so that thoughts, feelings and history become allies—not obstacles.

• Tap into inner motivation and personal power to direct energy and focus toward meaningful outcomes.

• Connect breath + nervous system + movement to access calm, centered presence under pressure.

• Apply mindfulness, movement and restoration to remove self-limiting beliefs and unlock unlimited potential.

• Foster a culture of self-care, strong relationships and positive team dynamics that supports academic, social and emotional growth.

When athletes and professionals master what’s happening within, their performance—and their lives—transform. My mission aligns with MVSC’s commitment to removing barriers and helping all kids compete fully. Because when every player is supported at the human level, the whole team—and community—wins.

 Who: Any athletes are welcome.

 Sessions:

      - 4th–6th grade: 9:00 AM

      - 7th–12th grade: 11:00 AM

Promotion: Anyone who registers and attends is entered into a drawing to win a pair of sneakers or cleats of their choice, valued up to $150.
